- Wow Guys! We’re back again to run another awesome tourney in the hype city of Augusta! The last Augusta SUPER Tournament was a huge success having 32 players from cities like Atlanta, Marietta, Duluth, McDonough, Columbia, Norcross, and Savannah come down for Street Fighter IV alone! The tournament ran smoothly, the people got hype, and we’re gonna’ run it back one more time before the end of the year 2009! Welcome to the Augusta SUPER Tournament II featuring Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Tekken 6 (on PS3!) and our extra special event, Street Fighter IV “3v3” teams! Come get hype with us December 12th 2009 at the Tournament Center of Augusta, and yes, the “hype” station will be returning along with a few more surprises! If you missed us the fist time, heres your chance to experience just how hype Augusta can get!

(If coming from I-20 to Bobby Jones Expressway, be careful because much of those roads and loops have just been through construction so keep an eye out and be safe! Our location is basically behind the Augusta Mall which is located off of Wrightsboro road. If entering the mall from Wrightsboro, circle the entire complex, then go onto Wylds road to get to the TC (Tournament Center).)

(Please pre-reg because having the list of players before hand helps tremendously when making the brackets! Most everyone who showed up last time pre-regged and it was a major help! We also want to get an idea of how many players we need to accommodate for, so please let us know if you can make it, and if you do, you’ll save yourself a good ol’ five dollars!)

(I want to assure you that absolutely NO money will be going to the wrong hands!! Myself and the rest of the Augusta crew are doing this for the love of the South East fighting game community and would never steal or profit from you!!)

Time: December 12th, 2009
-Registration and casual play begins at 12:00pm
-Tournament starts 1:30pm
(Please be on time!! This is my only major concern because trying to add late players into an already started tournemanet bracket only mixes and confuses things. Luckily only a few showed up late last time and we were able to work thing out, but again, I’d appreciate it if you’d show up on time if not early!)

-(and dont take for granted casual play!: some say the best matches you play are casuals at a tournament! I want to encourage more casual play at events like these because it'll be the only time you can truly play the best local players (lag free) just like in the ol' fashioned' arcades! Feel free to come early or stay afterwards on the tournament to knock out some casuals with Augusta's and our neighboring city's best players!! I promise it'll help you!!)

System Format: X-BOX 360 – (PS3 for Tekken 6 only)
(Due to popular demand, Tekken 6 will be run on PS3! Many of T6's players use PS3 pad to play and I have recieced many requests to change it from 360 to PS3, so thats what its going to be played on. I apologize for any confusion and to those who wanted to play T6 on 360, just know we weren't originally gonna run the game unless "enough interest" and we have recieved "enough interest", but just in the form of the game being played on PS3! For those of you who are hurt by this, just know there are more happy about it! lol! With that being said "Where ATL at?!")

-No need to bring tvs or consoles to this venue! The only thing you need to bring is your controller (BYOC!). But if you are a PS3 player, there will be plenty of 360 sticks at this tournament and we will be more than happy to let you borrow them for your matches. Our main set-up will be just like last time, on four large CRT tvs along with the “hype” station!

“The Return of the Hype Station!”
– One aspect of our last tourney that made it so awesome was the hype station, which consisted of two CRT televisions, one for each player (back to back like Japanese arcade cabinets) and two widescreen flat panels projecting the match on the wall! This is the highlight station that will run our top 8’s and Finals for each game! Every match will be recorded on this station too! I really want to let everyone have atleast one match of their tourney run on the hype station, so when your chance comes to play on it, play your best and prepare for “hype”!!

Universal Rules:
-SF4, BB, and Marvel will all be best 2 out of 3 rounds.
-SF4, BB, and Marvel will be Double Elimination best 2/3 matches, 3/5 semi-finals, 4/7 Finals
-No Button Mapping (Default is allowed for pad players, but mapping throw and focus is doo doo straight up and is not allowed)

Games/ Rules:
Street Fighter IV
-Winner keeps same character, loser can choose differently
BlazBlue
-Winner keeps same character, loser can choose differently
Marvel vs Capcom 2
-Winner keeps the same team, while the loser can switch teams.
-You may not use any glitch that prevent the game from being played. This includes game freezing, game resetting, player freezing…
-Deadbody infinites are allowed to gain a positional advantage, but not to delay the game.
-Button switching during the loading screen is allowed (e.g. Holding ASSIST 1 to switch your first assist with the point).
-You may not use the same character twice on one team.
Tekken 6
-rules anyone? I'm not a Tekken guy, so rules to come shortly after research…
Street Fighter IV 3v3 Teams
-Rule-set will be EVO style: as in your team will pick an order of who will go 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The two 1st's from each team will play each other, then the two 2nd's from each team will play, then the two 3rd's from each team will play. The matches will be best of 1 match, 2/3 rounds. The losing members will be eliminated from that set with the winning members playing the remaining winning members in order from 1st to 3rd until all the members of one team gets eliminated. SF4 3v3 will be double elimination brackets, with "first to win one set" on normal matches up until grand final which will be best 2/3 sets.
-Character specific, as in you and your partners cannot play the same character in a set.
