some are a guaranteed prize like a tournament that we have planed for street fighter that will be a 1000$ guaranteed prize.

I live about 3 hours away from augusta, I was actually in there for Thescon as an acting thing for 3 days in march 2010, But I was wondering do some of the tournaments have cash prizes, or other types of prizes for 1st place?

Our past Augusta Hyper Fighting
Tournament was hype, produced an awesome turnout, ran smoothly, and even
raised money for a good cause! (Haiti Earthquake relief - special
thanx' again to all who came). Continuing our series in Augusta type tournaments, this one will feature
two games: Super Street Fighter 4 and BlazBlue Continuum Shift - Come
join us and get hype Saturday August 21st, 2010!

Registration starts at: 12:00pm

Tournament starts at: 1:30pm

(Please try to be here on time, adding late players to the brackets is
never any fun)

Game/ Fees:

House Fee: $5

SSF4: $10

BBCS: $10

Pot percentage to be split for each game: 70/20/10 - 1st, 2nd, 3rd

System Format:

SSF4 and BBCS are to be played ala' X-BOX 360

(our venue is full of 360s ready to be used - If BBCS has interest in
being played on PS3 rather than 360, please let us know)

Rules:

for each game:

-2/3 rounds per game

-2/3 games per set

-3/5 games Winners Finals, Losers Finals, Grand Finals

-You all know the rules - no mapping throw and focus, no turbo, yadda
yadda, please dont cheat

-If anything unexpected interrupts a match please call us over to look

Hwy what up for some reason U join this page right well im looking for local or near players who want to creat a team for CODMW2 or any upcoming game that are going to be on the MLG to participate. Im someone who just loves gaming and will love to become pro we will talk about upcoming games where we can talk about if u good at first person shootin games then we can make this happen game is a career now not just a hobbie.

ACT 1: Aiken Convocation Tournament

It's summer time and there are plenty of tournaments going around the East Coast. This time, it's Aiken's turn to host. We're looking to unite gamers from all over the area, from GA, SC, and beyond, in one location. Big Venue, Cool AC, and plenty of games. Whether you're coming for casual play, to take it all, or coming because you think you've got what it takes to prove yourself as a South East champ, all are welcome.

Super Street Fighter 4
Tekken 6
Halo 3 2v2
Call Of Duty 2 2v2
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Super Smash Bros Melee
NBA 2k10 2v2
Soul Calibur 4

Fees: (Applys only to tournament play. Casuals are completely free)
$5 Venue

$5 Tekken 6
$5 Brawl (if enough confirmed and with general consensus, may rise to 10)
$10 Brawl Doubles ( per team)
$10 SSF4
$10 CoD (per team)
$10 Halo 3 (per team)
$10 NBA 2k 10 (per team)

Winnings will be distributed as follows:

1st: 70 %
2nd: 20 %
3rd: 10 %

VENUE FEE DISCOUNT: For every INDIVIDUAL that brings a full set, he/she will not have to pay the $5 Venue fee.A full set-up includes the following...

TV - Gaming System - Game

The full set up must be for the intentions of tournament play and must be a qualified set up of the games listed above. ( ex. so you can not bring a set up for Fifa or Madden, and expect to not have to pay the venue fee when you enter in SSF4 etc...)

"It's Mortons Time" - Augusta SUPER Tournament 3: June 5th: SSF4

The SUPER Tournament is back in action! We here in Augusta are ready to let the salt and hype flow as we host our first big Super Street Fighter 4 tournament! Our last two Super tourneys were both very successful uniting players all over GA and even some from SC to come and put their skills to the test.

The date is Saturday, June 5th 2010 - the place is at the Tournament Center of Augusta - and the yes, we will have the hype station up and running all day long!

- you all know the deal: no mapping throw/ focus, winner keeps character/ ultra, yadda yadda "Don't Cheat!"
- 2/3 matches reg. - 3/5 finals winner/ loser - 4/7 grand finals
Marvel:
- again I speak, "Don't Cheat!" - no deadbody infinites to delay the game, no glitches,
- 2/3 matches reg. - 3/5 finals winner/ loser - 4/7 grand finals
SSF4 3v3:
- alrighty, we're playing EVO team style where team 1(ABC) plays team 2(ABC)
- 1A plays 2A, 1B plays 2B, 1C plays 2C : winners stay "knock out" style in order of A first to C
- 1 match per fight - team tourney is double elimination, but each fight is between members last match, not 2/3
- 2/3 matches on team tourney grand finals only
- gotta stick with same character throughout team tournament

Fees:
House Fee: $5
SSF4 fee: $10
Marvel fee: $5
SSF4 3v3: $15 per team ($5 per player)

Now, I know what your thinking: "but Druseph, why only Super Street Fighter 4 and not all those other games I love so much like Tekken 6, Marvel, and Blazblue to name a few?" - I know this seems like a smaller version of our previous tourneys, but I guarantee that with this one game tournament, we'll have a fun hype day starting on time and ending reasonably - If enough interest is shown to have a Tekken 6, Marvel, Blaz, or "whatever game you like" tournament - then we'll defintely consider running it - Heck, we might even be prone to run a team tournament aswell - Only time will tell and expect updates on this event soon!
