Augusta Super Tournament 3

The SUPER Tournament is back in action! We here in Augusta are ready to let the salt and hype flow as we host our first big Super Street Fighter 4 tournament! Our last two Super tourneys were both very successful uniting players all over GA and even some from SC to come and put their skills to the test.

Welcome to the summer: Many tournaments are popping up and you should take advantage of them all!
The date is Saturday, June 5th 2010 – the place is at the Tournament Center of Augusta – and the yes, we will have the hype station up and running all day long!
1 game – 1 place – 1 time – “Let’s Go!”

Game:
SSF4: a la’ X-BOX 360
NEW Marvel: a la’ X-BOX 360
NEW SSF4 3v3: a la’ XBOX 360
(what else do you wanna play? expect updates on further games/ team events)

Rules:
SSF4:
- you all know the deal: no mapping throw/ focus, winner keeps character/ ultra, yadda yadda “Don’t Cheat!”
- 2/3 matches reg. – 3/5 finals winner/ loser – 4/7 grand finals
Marvel:
- again I speak, “Don’t Cheat!” – no deadbody infinites to delay the game, no glitches,
- 2/3 matches reg. – 3/5 finals winner/ loser – 4/7 grand finals
SSF4 3v3:
- alrighty, we’re playing EVO team style where team 1(ABC) plays team 2(ABC)
- 1A plays 2A, 1B plays 2B, 1C plays 2C : winners stay “knock out” style in order of A first to C
- 1 match per fight – team tourney is double elimination, but each fight is between members last match, not 2/3
- 2/3 matches on team tourney grand finals only
- gotta stick with same character throughout team tournament

Fees:
House Fee: $5
SSF4 fee: $10
Marvel fee: $5
SSF4 3v3: $15 per team ($5 per player)
- Pots for each tournament will be split 70/20/10 – 1st, 2nd, 3rd

Now, I know what your thinking: “but Druseph, why only Super Street Fighter 4 and not all those other games I love so much like Tekken 6, Marvel, and Blazblue to name a few?” – I know this seems like a smaller version of our previous tourneys, but I guarantee that with this one game tournament, we’ll have a fun hype day starting on time and ending reasonably – If enough interest is shown to have a Tekken 6, Marvel, Blaz, or “whatever game you like” tournament – then we’ll defintely consider running it – Heck, we might even be prone to run a team tournament aswell – Only time will tell and expect updates on this event soon!
